I think I'll quit my job and start a blog...

So I left my former employer.

I was actually terminated but they allowed me the option of resigning so as not to further tarnish my permanent record with the regulators that oversee my industry. I was concerned that by resigning I wouldn't be eligible for the $467/week unemployment that I'd be entitled to if I were fired. My branch manager assured me the firm wouldn't contest my benefits. Time will tell...

I really didn't like it there, anyway.

I've generally been happiest when I was doing something that I was good at. I haven't been good at much the past five years. I had a good job that I enjoyed immensely but that ended abruptly when the boss' daughter decided she didn't want to remain married to me. I knew I'd be hard pressed to replace my salary there but I had no idea it would be anything like this.

I've had three jobs in the last five years, I'm presently looking for my fourth.

I don't know why I'm blogging. I've never been one to keep a journal or diary. I find that drivel people post on Facebook insufferable. I can't imagine anyone finding anything I write worthy of the time it takes to read. Perhaps this will be some cathartic exercise to move the conversations I have constantly in my head to this medium so the voices eventually die down enough that I can get to sleep each night.

I've got a lot to tell. I spin a good yarn. I'm not the most interesting man in the world nor do I care for Dos Equis. I'm not sure I can figure out how to get back into this site to post again but if I can, I plan on telling all.
